Laurel Before Hardy By Jenny Owen-Pawson and Bill Mouland This biography examines Stan Laurel's youth in England, long before his teaming up with Oliver Hardy. Most of the book deals with Laurel before he even was Laurel (Stan was born Author Stanley Jefferson). There is a modest amount of text, accompanied by many rare photos (photos of Stan's relatives and places where he grew up...not movie stills).
