Featuring the silent works of Charley Chase, Jean Harlow, Harry Langdon, Carole Lombard, Daphne Pollard, Will Rogers, Mack Sennett, Ben Turpin, and of course Stan and Babe. In fact, this film is heavily weighted towards Laurel and Hardy, featuring scenes from Angora Love, The Battle of the Century, Double Whoopee, Habeas Corpus, The Second Hundred Years, Two Tars, We Faw Down, and You're Darn Tootin. Scored with a full orchestra and enhanced with superb sound effects, this is the first of several fine compilations written and produced by Robert Youngson. The predecessor to When Comedy Was King.
